The Focus India at PriFest, showcasing five independent films from Kerala, Assam, Maharashtra, the Indo-Pakistani border and Gujarat, is a fascinating discovery journey into the cultural, social, linguistic, religious and ethnic diversity of the Indian sub continent. The program includes four films that have received the prestigious FIPRESCI award, and also pays tribute to the great Indian actress, social activist and filmmaker Nandita Das.
Barbara Lorey de Lacharriere in an independent curator and film critic in charge of FIPRESCI award promotion who has been selecting the movies specially for the Focus India at PriFest. We want to give a big thanks to Barbara for her fantastic job selecting the movies for the Prishtina International Film Festival.
