Torino Film Lab in PriFest 2016!

Torino Film Lab in PriFest 2016!
PriFest has reached an agreement with Torino Film Lab, a year-round, international laboratory that supports emerging talents from all over the world – with a special attention to those working on their first and second fiction feature films – through training, development,  funding and distribution activities.

Apart from distinguished names from the world of cinema and film industry professionals, PriFest will provide a number of unique opportunities for all filmmakers from the region, an opportunity that comes through PriFORUM a regional platform of film industry events.
During 5 days, from 22nd-27th of April, professional filmmakers from the region [Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia] who are in the Best Pitch Competition, a tradition of 4 years in PriFest’s PriForum, will have the opportunity to gain experience not only about pitching, but also about audience awareness and marketing strategies for different film projects in their early stage of development.  Also, the "luckiest" ones will be selected for the Script Development Workshop.

All professional filmmakers, previously chosen to participate in the Best Pitch Competition with their projects, who are in a competition to win the “Vanessa Redgrave” Award will have the chance to participate in a number of trainings and workshops free for charge, which this year will be held by Torino Film Lab and Script Circle Berlin.
This year, the regular two-day pitching training will be held by Torino Film Lab experts. A new opportunity this year for Best Pitch participants is another training also held by Torino Film Lab about Film Marketing and Audience, where selected producers and directors will learn more about making their films more attractive for an international audience and market. This is essential for the film to find its target audience and the ways to communicate with it. Not only does it enable the reaching of a large audience, it also provides an approach towards film professionals and A-list festivals.
Another training, for the selected film projects that are part of the Best Pitch Competition, is the Script Development Workshop which PriForum will induce through this field’s experts:  Franz Rodenkirchen and Françoise von Roy from the Script Circle Berlin. This two-day long activity during the festival will only be able to allow the participation of four film projects, that are in their developing phase and are applying for Best Pitch.
