Raiffeisen Bank - General Sponsor of Prishtina International Film Festival!
Raiffeisen Bank is one of the first supporters of Prishtina International Film Festival.
They supported the festival ever since its first year, and every year since as a traditional sponsor, providing huge support that enabled the existence and gradual development of this PriFest. However, for the eighth edition, the status of this sponsorship deal will change, as the Managing Board of Raiffeisen Bank has decided to increase its support, by transitioning from "traditional sponsor" to "general sponsor" of the festival.
The Austrian bank has doubled its financial support for the festival, which is returning to its "birthplace" after migrating for last year's edition due to lack of funds. Taking into account the ever-rising quality, comprehensiveness and size of PriFest, it is natural for financial support to become all the more important, and in the PriFest's case, the right partners have also been the most loyal.
"Raiffesisen Bank in Kosovo is pleased to be the general sponsor of PriFest. It is a festival that has progressed and has consistently attracted more and more international attention. The festival also puts Kosovo on an international scene, and highlights many positive attributes of the young and creative population of the country", said Robert Wright, general director of Raiffesisen Bank in Kosovo.
Vjosa Berisha, director of the independent cultural institution, PriFest, is very pleased with the situation:
"For us this is very important news in a difficult time, knowing that our main sponsor has decided to double its support for us. It undoubtedly makes us happy, and we feel proud to have not let them down in any case. The festival grows every year, as does the need for the activities that PriFest provides for the film industry and professionals. It is very important for the development of Kosovo cinematography. So it is very important to have by our side a sponsor that understands this logic and stimulates you to do more. We are forever thankful to Raiffeisen Bank, as I know that if it wasn't for their support, the fsetival would suffer in organisation and quality".
Prishtina International Film Festival is one of the most important events of the capital, as it attracts the attention of the world film industry towards Kosovo for a week full of film premieres from Europe, the Balkans and the world, as well as workshops, trainings and different sessions. The festival is in its eighth edition this year, and will be held from the 22nd to the 29th of April in Prishtina.
